Resident Clubs
(Resident Council, Book Club, Arts Club etc. ) - Hosted by residents, clubs encourage independence and celebrate the individuality and diverse interests of our residents.
Spiritual Faith Activities
(bible study, , hymnal singing, visits from local clergy and Sunday communion and masses) - For residents whose faith brings comfort and joy, we offer opportunities to practice and strengthen that faith through worship.
Trips and Outings
(lunch bunch, trips to the movies, museums, theater, scenic drives, shopping) - Small and large group outings give residents a delightful opportunity to socialize outside and experience a variety of sights, sounds, and tastes!
Physical/Fitness Activities
(wii seniors program, walking, stretches, chair exercise, balloon volleyball, darts) - Offered daily, these activities help residents maintain and improve mobility and physical wellness through enjoyable activities specifically designed to meet their needs.
Musical Activities
(sing-a-longs, dancing, name that tune, live entertainment) - A familiar and universal language, music nurtures the spirit, reminds us of “the good old days,” and brightens our days.
Arts & Crafts Classes
(painting, drawing, crafts, and decorative paper folding) - These activities are designed to give residents an opportunity to exercise their artistic creativity and individuality through a variety of venues.
Cognitive/Intellectual Activities
(educational programs, current event discussions, cards, games) - Many of our residents enjoy learning, discussing their thoughts and opinions, playing games, and solving puzzles. These activities provide an excellent forum to support mental awareness and cognition.
Nature/Outdoor Activities
(gardening, strolls in the park, nature walks, bird watching, picnics) - Breathing fresh air, feeling a warm breeze against your cheek, and enjoying the beauty of nature each contribute toward a positive outlook and a healthy spirit.
Reminiscing Activities
(sharing photos, memory-filled discussions, afternoon socials) - Each of our residents has his or her own rich and interesting life experiences and memories. These activities encourage our residents to explore a sense of self and life review through socialization.
Sensory Enjoyment Activities
(bread baking, hand massage at the spa, meaningful songs, stroking a favorite pet) - Our senses help to trigger pleasant and meaningful memories. These activities invigorate the senses and provide residents with a feeling of relaxation and comfort.
Inter-generational Activities
(partnerships with local school children) - For many of our residents, there is nothing more pleasurable than hearing the laughter of a child as they discover the treasures from the toy box found in every room.
Life Skill Activities
(cooking, helping address invitations, folding napkins alongside a friend) - Many residents prefer to participate in activities in which they can contribute their long time talents and abilities. Life Skill activities are tailored to each resident, offering them the opportunity to do just that.
Seasonal/Theme Events
(holiday parties, cookouts, dances, theme socials) - Most everyone enjoys celebrating the season at hand or learning about various cultures. Our residents are encouraged to contribute their ideas and talents in the planning and decorating for these events and celebrations.
Family Get-togethers
(family nights, brunches, potlucks, and parties) - Families and friends of our residents are welcome and invited to our facility any time, especially when we plan a “soiree” in their honor!
Each patient is provided a monthly calendar to keep them informed of upcoming events such as birthday parties, movies, musical programs, outings, ice cream socials and other special events. We always welcome friends and families to visit and attend our special events.
